Hamilton ON - The Great Lakes Tour (GLT) and Circuit Canada Pro Tour (CCPT) wish to inform members and followers of each organization that they will remain partners for the 2018 season. Subsequently, the two sides have begun negotiations on a long term agreement beyond 2018.
The two tours embarked on the current three year relationship at the beginning of the 2016 season. The partnership remains exclusive with the Great Lakes Tour as the only access point for unattached golf professionals in Canada (except Quebec) to gain entry into National Division and most International Division events on the CCPT schedule. Members in good standing of the CCPT that are affiliated with a golf facility in Quebec or are residents of Quebec will have complimentary membership on the GLT (some conditions may apply). Both organizations will work together in Ontario and Quebec to create a cohesive schedule for all members while offering the highest returns on prize money. Since 2016, members who supported at least one Great Lakes Tour and Circuit Canada Pro Tour event in the same season have earned in excess of $900,000 in prize money. View Money List. Further details on the 2018 schedule and membership will become available in the coming weeks.

Burlington (ON) - The 2017 season has been a slight struggle for Robbie Greenwell who is originally from Georgetown (ON) but now resides in Victoria (BC). Though he’s been playing some good golf, he has failed to take advantage of Conditional Status and the Monday Qualifying process on the Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada this season. However, a return to the tournament where he fired a final round 62 last year, may bring back some good feelings and produce a strong finish. After Round 1 of this year’s Southern Ontario Open at Hidden Lake Golf Club (NEW Course) in Burlington (ON), Greenwell’s score of 8 under par 63 was good enough for a two shot lead over Branson Ferrier of Barrie (ON) and 3 better than a handful of players at 5 under par 66 including Mt. Laurel (NJ) resident David Sanders. Waterdown ON - The 2017 Southern Ontario Open week has become an event to watch this coming July. The 2017 Champion of the Southern Ontario Open July 12-15 will receive an exemption into the Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada's Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval July 20-23. Waterloo ON - The Great Lakes Tour continued their season at Grey Silo Golf Club in Waterloo (ON) this past Thursday. Considering the rain soaked conditions over the past week to ten days, the golf course was in remarkable condition to host the field of 48 professionals and 8 elite amateurs. The forecast was ominous from the start with Tour Officials putting a stipulated round of 9 holes into effect due to the heavy rainfall warning and imminent weather system tracking toward the region. However, the heaviest rains held off long enough for the field to complete 18 holes and crown a champion... Burlington ON - It was a warm, sunny and dry start to the Great Lakes Tour season on Thursday. Past history would suggest that conditions would not be favourable to start the season. However, Hidden Lake Golf Club Old Course in Burlington (ON) was in fine shape with above average temperatures greeting the largest field in GLT Shootout history. The Great Lakes Tour Shootout has been played as the first event of the season for nearly ten years and features a prize payout unlike any other on the schedule.
