Hamilton ON - The Great Lakes Tour is pleased to announce that Canadian company Vari Pro Innovations Inc. and their new product RollReadyTM will become presenting sponsor of the Great Lakes Tour Order of Merit. The relationship will see the Great Lakes Tour Order of Merit leaders paid a bonus at the end of the season based on their overall final standings. Each official event on the current schedule has points assigned to them in a similar fashion to the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup race. Up to 600 points is awarded to the winner of each Great Lakes Tour event with 1200 points allocated to the winner of the Great Lakes TOUR Championship. Adnan Darr, President of Vari Pro Innovations Inc. and inventor of RollReadyTM, is extremely excited with this relationship "I am very excited about this partnership and being involved with the Great Lakes Tour. I look forward to the contribution that RollReadyTM will have towards the members of the Great Lakes Tour." "The GLT met Adnan and his RollReadyTM Product in November at the Golf Industry Expo and we became very intrigued by the product and it's potential success in the industry." Says Great Lakes Tour President Jim Kenesky. "The product serves a simple yet important purpose for many golfers around the globe. With the recent concerns over pesticide use and other chemicals on golf courses, the RollReadyTM product may help golfers alleviate this worry as the years go by." The partnership will see a minimum of $3,000 at stake for the season long Great Lakes Tour Order of Merit standings. Currently the top 4 finishers at season's end will share the purse with the following payout. 1st - $1200, 2nd - $900, 3rd - $600, 4th - $300 "The Great Lakes Tour is excited with this relationship as it gives our members something to play for over the entire season. It will certainly give our TOUR Championship and the events leading up to it, some excitment." Kenesky states. "Our goal is to make the Order of Merit and TOUR Championship meaningful and give those who win, the sense of a great accomplishment." RollReadyTM is a simple yet highly effective tool that clips to a player's belt buckle and cleans the golf ball quickly without using a towel, hands or mouth. When a player marks their ball they will place it in the casing, roll it clean and remove when ready to play. Vari Pro Innovations Inc. located in Mississauga (ON) and the Great Lakes Tour are working on utilizing networks to develop a program that will see pro shops and golf facilities adopt the product. There are many revenue streams available with direct impulse sales, corporate branding for events and holiday gift ideas to name a few. As this program becomes successful there will be an increase in sponsor dollars and positions paid on the Order of Merit. Last season Brett Cairns of Courtland (ON) won the TOUR Championship in a playoff over Mitch Sutton of London (ON). Cairns went on to win the Order of Merit by a small margin of 49.25 points over Brendan Leonard of Cambridge (ON). Stephane Dubois of Brantford (ON) and Mitch Sutton rounded out the Top 4 last season. The Great Lakes Tour Order of Merit Leader as of June 21, 2017 will receive an exemption into the RBC Canadian Open Final Qualifying on July 24th at Heron Point Golf Links. This along with RollReadyTM contribution will ensure engaged viewers throughout the season.
