Waterloo ON - The Great Lakes Tour will be visiting the beautiful Grey Silo Golf Club on May 10-11 for the GLT Waterloo Championship and will feature one of the strongest fields in recent years. The field will be comprised of top touring professionals, elite amateurs and PGA of Canada club professionals. Jake Scott of Strongsville (OH), Wil Wittmann of Menasha (WI), and Ryan Erxleben of Brighton (MI) will be representing the United States while Ghyslain Allard of Drummondville and Sun Kim of L'Ile-Perrot will make the trip from Quebec... The GLT Waterloo Championship is the first of four RACE to Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval events where the top 2 (not otherwise exempt) in the point standings over the four events will receive an exemption into Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada's Mackenzie Investments Open September 3-9, 2018 near Montreal QC. "We are extremely proud of this roster of players." said GLT President Jim Kenesky. "We've been working hard on securing opportunities for our members to play for throughout the 2018 season, and a field this strong means there's a lot on the line. The Champion this week can definitely say he's beaten some of the best in Canada." GolfNorth's Grey Silo Golf Club will play host and is expected to be in fine condition when the first round begins at 8:00 am this Thursday. Grey Silo hosted the LPGA Tour's Manulife Classic from 2012 - 2014 where multiple major winner Inbee Park was the champion in the final year. The GLT Waterloo Championship will feature a $20,000 purse with a winner's share of $4,000. It is also a Tier 1 GLT Order of Merit presented by Roll ReadyTM event with 600 points being awarded to the champion. The Top 24 on the GLT Order of Merit after 10 regular season events will qualify to compete in the NEW GLT Playoffs.
