"We are extremely excited to partner with the Seaforth Country Classic. It has always been a popular event among our members and it was sad to see it disappear last year. It's a great tournament for the local community in Seaforth and even more important are the local charities that are impacted. This will be another great opportunity for our players in 2018 as Seaforth GC always puts on a top notch event." The Female field will remain Open and is set to feature touring professionals from across North America. Robyn Doig, a former Symetra Tour member and SCC representative ultimately brought the idea forward. Her and the organizing committee couldn't be more excited to have the event back next season featuring some of the top male and female golfers in the country. Maureen Agar and Carolanne Doig from the SCC committee submitted the following statement. "The organizers and volunteers of the Seaforth Country Classic are thrilled to be partnering with the Great Lake Tour and are looking forward to welcoming all the golfers to our 2018 tournament" The SCC began in 2008 as a Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada event and remained as part of their schedule for 4 years. In 2012 it was established as a stand alone event attracting the top touring, PGA professionals and elite amateurs in the province. The tournament has raised over $100,000 for local medical charities since its inception and continues to be a highlight as a local community event. Past Champions include Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada member Michael Gligic (2016) and Golf Channel's Big Break participant David Markle (2015, 2013) to name a few.
