The partnership is effective immediately and will see a great benefit to both players and fans of the Great Lakes Tour. Play My Auctions is a new online platform, being led by CEO Kelly Chandler, that gives fans and followers the chance to bid on items or equipment being used by athletes or performers in live events. With crowdfunding and fundraising becoming very relevant in the golf industry, Play My Auctions has the potential for athletes to utilize their networks and raise funds for a charity close to their heart or help to assist in building finances toward their professional career. Participating golf professionals will have the option of putting any piece of equipment or apparel up for auction during a Great Lakes Tour event and fans or followers will be able to bid on that piece as the event unfolds. A large portion of proceeds will go directly to the player and his cause... The Great Lakes Tour plans to utilize Play My Auctions in upcoming events like the GLT Barrie Classic at Settlers' Ghost and the Southern Ontario Open to name a few. Items up for auction, while the player is using them, will be golf balls, signed gloves, signed hats, official scorecards and much much more. Once the event is over the items are collected, signed by the player, authenticated and shipped to the winner. The winning bidder will also be able to download a certificate of authenticity providing the providence.
