![]() FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday May 12, 2015 King City ON - After summer like conditions in the days leading up to Great Lakes Tour Regular Series Event #2 at King's Riding Golf Club in King City ON, Mother Nature decided to cool things off. The 40km/h winds and soft conditions were present from first to last tee time and were relentless at times during the day. The tough conditions didn't seem to phase Matt Hoffman (Thornhill ON) who teed off in the first group and posted a 1 under par 70. In the early going it looked like Michael Gligic (Kitchener ON) was going to cruise to victory as he made the turn at 3 under par. However, a double bogey on the 17th sent Gligic to Even par for the round where he ultimately finished in a tie for second place... Hoffman's round was one of consistency with 2 birdies and 1 bogey on the card. His lone blemish of the round came on the downhill and straight downwind 124 yard par 3 fifth hole. Brett Cairns (Courtland ON) was equally as consistent in the tricky conditions, recording just one bogey and one birdie to tie for second with Gligic at Even par. The Great Lakes Tour will take a two week break before heading down Highway 403 to the quaint town of Paris to the Paris Grand Golf Club for the first Platinum Series Event of the season on June 1-2.
