Great Lakes Tour to Introduce RACE to Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval

Hamilton ON - The Great Lakes Tour would like to introduce for 2018 the Race to Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval.

The Race will consist of four no cut 36 hole events leading up to the Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval with a guaranteed purse over the four events totaling $80,000  ($20,000 per event with $4,000 for first place).  The winner and runner-up in points over these four events will earn a direct exemption into the Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada's Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval July 16-22, 2018.

The Race to Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval will be open to any Great Lakes Tour members in good standing with National, Basic and PGA National membership status.  The following events are set to make up the official Race and will be contested at premium GolfNorth facilities.​

• May 10-11, 2018 - Waterloo Championship - Grey Silo GC
• May 28-29, 2018 - Barrie Classic - Settlers' Ghost GC
• June 14-15, 2018 - Ancaster Challenge - Mystic GC
• July 12-13, 2018 - Collingwood Classic - Batteaux Creek GC

The Mackenzie Investments Open presented by Jaguar Laval was included on the Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada schedule in 2017 with Circuit Canada Pro Tour as the official Host Organization.  In 2016, Great Lakes Tour and Circuit Canada Pro Tour formed a partnership that gives members on both tours access to compete in events across Ontario and Quebec.

The Great Lakes Tour season gets underway April 26th at Hidden Lake Golf Club in Burlington ON for the GLT Shootout.
