As we move into 2018 and understanding how our viewers are engaged, we've decided to introduce more video and video slideshows into our marketing efforts and communication to our members and followers. The following videos are a showcase of our schedule in 2017 and the winners of each event. We are constantly trying to keep ahead of the curve in our online delivery of events and tour news. Upgrades in online registration, scoring and website have already taken place and we will continue to upgrade these platforms as our service providers add further plug-ins and applications to their systems. The Great Lakes Tour is proud to launch a new incentive program for National Members. The program will reward members with a combination of loyalty with early registrations and playing performance. The Great Lakes National Membership is the one membership that will gain non-PGA and unattached professionals access to the newly formed Circuit Canada Pro Tour (CCPT). Players finishing from 17th to 40th at Mackenzie Tour - PGA Tour Canada Qualifying School will also be eligible for the National Membership and compete in CCPT events. The Quebec based CCPT will have $555,000 minimum total purse at stake over seven events. The Great Lakes Tour will receive 30 spots into each of their events. Those 30 players will gain entry via the National Order of Merit standings...

After our exciting news of partnering with the Circuit Canada Pro Tour, you can read that story HERE, we are pleased to share some pictures of what our members will have access to over the next 3 years. This relationship will be a very important one for the overall growth of professionals Nationwide. The set of events available in both Ontario and Quebec will look to fill a void in the career of players. For example, if you're goals are to play Tour golf and you've just turned professional, this circuit will give you up to 21 plus events to develop your game and save on travel expenses. However, this is not just for young professionals. We feel this relationship can prepare players for MacKenzie Tour & Web.com Qualifying, Champions Tour Q-School and even PGA of Canada playing ability tests.... I started playing the Great Lakes Tour in 2005 as an unattached Professional. Not knowing what I was getting myself into, my eyes were opened up to a world of wonderful things. I consider myself one of the last in a Generation of professionals in the Province. I was born in 1980 and youngest of three siblings by 5 years. So what this means is that I grew up in a world of hand-me-downs and following my brothers' lead. Though I was born in the 80's, I felt closer to the older crowd. The Generation I'm referring to are the golf professionals who grew up in the 70's.... |
